Whitehall Specialties is a world leader in
developing, manufacturing and supplying custom cheese products to the food
processing, food service, and retail industries. To help support our
customersí and the companyís growth in the US and around the world, Whitehall
Specialties is searching for a Product Development Specialist . At Whitehall, Product
Development Specialists work with nearly every department in the
organization. Working within a team framework, their primary responsibility
is to manage the life of a product from concept through its beginning
stages in development to its eventual consumption by our customers.
A Product Development Specialist at Whitehall
Specialties must have the exceptional creative and technical skills
necessary to develop successful new cheese based food products that meet
the objectives of our customers better than any competitors in the
industry. They must be able to communicate effectively with customers,
suppliers, and other internal departments within the organization by imparting
highly technical information in a way that all others can understand.
Computer skills such as Excel, ESHA, Word, and
Outlook are necessary in this role.
- A Bachelorís Degree in Food
Science, Biology, Chemistry, Product Development, or other sciences or
- Specialized training or work
experience in the cheese and or processed cheese development industry
is also beneficial.
- Must be willing to travel at
certain times as required by the customer base, trade or food shows,
etc. This could result in time away from home from 1 day to 2-3 weeks
at a time.
- Must also be prepared to
perform other plant related duties for Whitehall Specialties Inc.
(within reason) as assigned.
- Could be asked from time to
time to attend meetings or be a member of committees such as safety,
quality control, etc.
Annual Salary commensurate with experience.
