the general direction of the Research and Development Manager, the
successful candidate will assist in all aspects of the research and
development process. This includes but is not limited to assisting with
shelf life studies, sensory studies, plant trials, documentation and
reporting, communication with vendors, and communication with both internal
and external customers as needed. This is a hands-on position;

of Science in food science, chemistry and/or biology/microbiology required
in product research, development, engineering, or manufacturing environment

analytical procedures related to the development and improvement of
new and existing products, including shelf-life testing, sensory
evaluation, and other evaluation procedures.
- Acquisition and preparation
of samples for various customers, including internal customers
- Recording and management of
internal data, written and verbal reports, summaries, evaluations, and
file management related to the above and other activities.
- Participate in meeting with
Marketing Department, which involves program development,
brainstorming sessions, timelines and project status updates.
- Manage Genesis nutritional
program, preparation of ingredient statements and transfer of formulas
to costing department.
- Maintains accurate, up to
date records, laboratory notebooks and computer databases.
- Maintaining adequate
inventories of ingredients needed for projects.
- Ordering and picking up
ingredients required from production facilities when necessary.
- Setting up for customer
- Preparing, making and
shipping specific customer samples as dictated by project.
- Excellent interpersonal
skills for optimal interactions and communications with internal and
