SQF & Sanitation Specialist Job Description
The SQF & Sanitation Specialist will be responsible assisting the SQF
Practitioner in the development, implementation and maintenance of the SQF
system for Costa Fruit & Produce and Fresh Ideas, and continuous
improvement of food safety focused programs including but not limited to
Good Manufacturing Practices(c-GMPS) Hazard Analysis Critical Control
Points (HACCP), chemical safety, sanitation and personal hygiene, and GMP
audits and compliance.
- Oversee all sanitation
operations relative to the master sanitation schedule (MSS).
- Track customer returns on a
- Administrative support,
record review and document control.
- Train employees on SQF
programs, policies and procedures.
- GMP audits and compliance.
- Pre-operational inspections.
- Pest Control Records.
- Glass and Brittle.
- Evaluate food safety concerns
in facility and assist in implementation to eliminate hazards.
- Tracking meeting minutes and
other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
1-3 years prior experience in a Food Manufacturing environment. Experience
in training a diverse workforce. Knowledge of HACCP principles and SQF
systems and sanitation. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficient in designing brief training programs.
Must possess excellent written and verbal skills. English/Spanish
Must have a demonstrated ability to:

clear and concise.
- Must be able to sit stand or
walk for long periods of time
- Occasional lifting, up to
- Must be able to keyboard

conditions, cold and ambient temperatures.
- 100% accuracy and attention
to detail to ensure product is received correctly in accordance with
the Costa Fruit & Produce Company warehouse standards.
- Shall comply with all
applicable SQF policies and procedures.
