Job Description

SUMMARY: The R&D Specialist is responsible for effectively and accurately assisting Business management, Regulatory Services, FSQA, Scientists, marketing, supply chain, operations, and finance in training and development of required components for effective product execution for new and existing products. The R&D Specialist will also have responsibility for accurately guiding businesses. The Specialist collaborates with Business unit management to determine strategic direction for future initiatives that involve product data management. Additionally, they will provide technical support in their specific area of expertise. The R&D Specialist must have the ability to quickly respond to challenging situations and provide solutions to expeditiously deliver products to market.

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience with training and development process a plus.

Proficient algebraic knowledge to complete documentation for regulatory compliance, and provide necessary guidance for packaging claims.

Organization of critical data through specific Product Data Management (PDM) workflows, critical thinking around formulations, and product processing requirements is necessary to ensure operational and regulatory compliances are met.

Demonstrates effectiveness in providing PDM guidance that will lead to opportunities in innovation, growth, and profitability.

EDUCATION: Requires broad knowledge in a particular field normally acquired through college, resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Preferred Masters; Business; Science; Education.

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years' work experience in Research & Development or a Bachelor's Degree in related science area of study.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Intermediate computer skills.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with TEAM/external customers. Must have the ability to communicate with functional and business unit management.

SPECIAL SKILLS (if applicable): Critical thinking and problem solving skills required. Strong time-management and organizational skills needed.

SUPERVISORY: None.

TRAVEL: 6+ Trips per Year
