ROLE CONTEXT

Cost base release, consumer perceived quality superiority , competition and innovation via product development are critical and key to delivering the business targets.

This role is mainly responsible  to develop baked (biscuit, snacks, etc) products  to fit with brand strategies and reactive to technical briefs from the marketing teams. 

Responsibilities:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manages and accountable for 3 year pladis global growth agenda  for all technical aspects of  baked (biscuit, snacks, etc)  product design and delivers developments to market , meeting the quality, cost and timings expected .
Cost base release, consumer perceived quality superiority v competition and innovation via product development are critical and key to delivering the business targets.
Holder of this position will be responsible for the development of product standards, risk assessments (both Food Safety and Consumer Quality) and process capability. Highlight potential for growth through flexible equipment and ingredient specification

Work closely with COE of biscuits, CTI, process development, packaging and Health and regulatory team leads to ensure successful delivery of plans, appropriate and timely resource allocation, collaborative work  and deliver appropriate solutons to defined technical hurdles.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Good experience in baked (biscuit, snacks, etc)  product development

Min. 3-4 years  technical FMCG experience

Minimum 24  months technical baked (biscuit, snacks, etc)   experience.

Expertise in Ingredients Technology applicable to biscuits, chocolate and fillings.

Good experience in working  cross – functional Project teams to achieve an agreed objective.

Ambient Process knowledge of baked (biscuit, snacks, etc)

Technical Specific to field of application (baked (biscuit, snacks, etc))

Excellent project management, organisation and planning skills.

Basic food hygiene certificate.

Qualifications:

Qualifications Required:
BSc or similar in Food Science, Food Technology or another science subject.
University degree in food or related science / technology / Engineering is essenial.
Proven track record of project leadership within a number of baked (biscuit, snacks, etc)  product launches
English language
