Research Chemist II – COVANCE – Madison, WI
Covance is currently seeking a Research Chemist II for the
Madison, WI site to support the Nutritional Chemistry and Food Safety
Assistance is available for this role.
The Nutritional Chemistry & Food Safety laboratory helps ensure each
food/nutrition item delivered is exactly what it is supposed to be - safe,

next 3-5 years.
•Organizes, conducts and evaluates analytical results and testing
independently in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOP’s and
regulatory agency guidelines.
•Documents work, maintains study documentation and laboratory records.
•Independently sets-up, maintains, operates, and performs routine and
non-routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and software, including
problem identification and resolution.
•Leads project meetings, plans, monitors and guides project work.
•Performs peer review and QC review of data.
•Performs assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively completes
•Promotes and contributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains a

• BS/BA degree in science or related field plus 7-10 years of relevant
experience. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• Knowledge of experimental design and ability to evaluate and interpret
• Proficient at advanced instrument operation and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of computers and programs.
• Concise and effective verbal and written communication skills with internal
and external clients.
• 7-10 years of related experience
