JOB DESCRIPTION: QUALITY MANAGEMENT MANAGER-
AFTERNOON SHIFT 11:30am-8:00pm
Excellent opportunity to work in a great team environment at a state of the
art, modern food manufacturing facility managing master sanitation schedule
implementation, blending and finished goods quality and food safety. Use of
the most current QC systems and procedures in the industry. Ideal location
- easy commute from Sacramento or Davis to Woodland, CA.
JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
- Maintaining the intended
quality of food.
- Sanitation quality checks.
Pre and post operation sanitation checks
- Manage and verify sanitation
work so that master sanitation is schedule is met
- Check weighing, blending and
finished goods for quality and lot documentation
- Accurate Lot & Quality
Documentation. Use of scanners and Quality Assurance Computer System.
Completion of Control Point Checks & Paperwork
- Testing of ingredients and
documentation for tracing into computer system.
- Ensure products are blended
correctly prior to the production run.
- Ensure ingredients and
packaging meet specifications
- Using bar code system, ensure
that allergens are stored according to procedures, document lot
numbers on product ingredients, monitoring the allergen storage space.
- Monitoring all of the
production lines before and during the production runs.
- Tracing lot # documentation
pre-production and code, seal checks. Packaging material and component
per production verification checks.
- Swab for potential allergens
(i.e. gluten) or cross contamination using a test strip kit.
- Ensuring all packaging
materials are removed from area prior to new materials being brought
- Test food contact hoppers for
gluten pre production if running gluten free.
- Use the state-of-the art
quality system to instantaneously input data from QA monitoring.
- Cook up products and perform
testing including sensory testing, including taste, smell, appearance,
etc. to insure high quality of finished goods and supplier conformance
- Verify thoroughness of
cleaning and swab test
- Involves prompt data input on
production floor at site of QC check.
- Assist with supplier
documentation and audit preparation.
- Work with Inventory Control
Specialist to ensure accurate inventory and proper facility allergen
& organic storage
- Train workers automated
warehouse scanner posting of lot numbers from receiving, material
usage and finished goods and HACCP, GMPs
- Strong computer skills,
Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word
Qualifications: A passion for food safety, great food and excellence
are required. Ability to manage sanitation and Master Sanitation Schedule.
Food plant work experience required. BS in Science Major or applicable food
industry quality assurance management experience are
needed. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to
multi-task and time management skills are required. Computer skills are
required: Excel, Word, Company ERP computer software.
Ability to lift 25 lbs, walk long distances
and up & down stairs is required. Note: This facility contains food
allergens such as peanuts, wheat, soy, etc. Individuals with pace makers
and/or metal body implants should not approach rare earth magnets in
