Perform analytical and microbiological testing of products, ingredients, food components and environmental samples in support of spoilage investigations, foreign materials, thermal microbiology, and setting of operational guidelines relative to food safety and stability. Gather data and report findings.
• This position is
required to conduct microbial tests of food products using established CSC
protocols under the guidance of the supervisor.
• Bachelor of Science
degree required; Microbiology or Food Microbiology preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
• Proven skills at bench
microbiology with good aseptic technique
• Laboratory setting, working with various chemicals and biological cultures that may be hazardous
• Work with a computer on a daily basis for communication, research, and report writing
