Casa Sanchez is a manufacturer/distributor of fresh
salsa, chips and other foods items supporting food retailers and
supermarkets throughout the Western United States. Our key importance is to
make and keep all customers very happy. This job will start in Millbrae and
move to Hayward in September, 2015
*Supervise/control R&D, testing, recipes, product formulations and
shelf life study of products.
*Test and maintain raw materials and finished good against
*Implements and maintains quality control systems throughout the
manufacturing process (PH testing, salinity, weight, temperature, moisture
content, free fatty acid and metal detection).
*Calibrate and maintain lab equipment (PH meter, thermometer, scales,
moisture analyzer and free fatty acid tester).
*Maintain & document QA procedures, specifications, and testing methods
for each raw material and finished goods.
*Perform swabs and other laboratory tests as directed.
*Assist in responding to customer questions on existing products.
*Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices.
*Maintain HACCP and Food Safety requirements.
*Training and supporting all production employees in area of Standard
Operating Procedure, GMP, Food Safety and sanitation requirements.
*Sensory evaluation for current, new, and competitor’s products.
*Prepares cost analysis in terms of raw materials, packaging and labor cost
for all products.
*Manages “Hold and Release Program”.
*Some travel to satellite warehouses
*Assist with Pest Control Program.
*Coordinates with vendor for label. Making sure all labels are FDA
*Weekly monitoring report for glass and hard plastic.
*Assist in applying for necessary permits for satellite warehouses and
*Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
*A college degree in chemistry, biology or related science.
*Must be dependable and a team player.
*A valid CA driver's license
*Attention to detail.
*Oral and written communication skills.
*Able to interact effectively with other production staff and various
*Intermediate computer skills including word and Excel.
