Who Are We Looking For:

Beachbody is seeking a Product Development Technologist, R&D. This position supports new product development and brand maintenance in the Research and Development Division for Foods and Supplements.



You're Right For This Job If You Can:

  • Execute the development of new and improved products in the lab
  • Test products, analyzing the data, documenting the results and reporting the insights
  • Support the execution of pilot trials and plant runs 
  • Run experiments on ingredients and formulations
  • Organize raw materials and maintaining ingredient inventories
  • Develop ingredient specifications as well as maintaining the ingredient and finished product specification database.
  • Maintain nutritional database for existing and products in the development pipeline 
  • Develop prototypes to support brand maintenance and new product development
  • Conduct sensory evaluations, analyzing the data and reporting results
  • Keep lab area, equipment and ingredient storage clean and operational
  • Track and documenting analytical and organoleptic data from shelf-life studies
  • Prepare prototypes for consumer testing and technical evaluations
  • Test new ingredients for product improvements and line extensions
  • Execute cost saving initiatives on substitute ingredients and processes
  • Collaborate with Operations on new and alternate ingredient qualifications 
  • Work on quality activities including HACCP and root cause analysis

Skills and Experience:

  • Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or Equivalent technical BS degree required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Background knowledge of food science including- ingredient functionality, health and nutrition, food manufacturing processes, microbiology, quality assurance principles, and market research practices.
  • 0-2 years experience
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated strong learning aptitude
  • Experience working in a lab
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong organizational skills
