Job Description
Location: Open - can be located in Salinas, CA, Atlanta, or Chicago. This
position is eligible for relocation benefits. Travel: 30-50%, Domestic
& International
This position develops, modifies and facilitates
implemention of global food safety systems in support of the commodity
and value-added businesses. Responsible for training personnel on food
safety principles and practices, and developing staff for local food
safety ownership. Build self-monitoring and audit systems to track food
safety compliance. Ensure ongoing compliance with customers'
expectations.
Monitor Traceability compliance company-wide. Through coordination with
IT and supply chain, ensure traceback and tracefoward capabilities for
all commodity and value-added products.
Support raw product food safety needs for commodities
distributed by Chiquita Brands LLC, -including pesticide residue compliance.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Support
manufacturing and innovations needs across business platforms.
Requirements:6-10 years in Quality Assurance and Food
Safety. Experience in food manufacturing and/ or distribution as well as
regulatory affairs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven leadership abilities, along with strong organizational skills and
the ability to set and achieve goals.
