Manager, Process Technology / Quality Control

We are currently looking for a Manager, of Quality & Technology, to be
based out of our Cambridge, MN facility. The well qualified candidate would
have a good balance in both the technology side and quality assurance, as
well as ( ideally ) a background and experience with
food manufacturing..
In this role you will be responsible for managing and prioritizing activities
that are consistent with company objectives for Processes and Quality. Your
role will be to direct and actively participate in pilot plant trials leading
to full scale production runs, so this person must be willing to "get
hands dirty" in a production/manufacturing environment. We have multiple
sites across the region/country, and this role will be responsible for all of
them, thus you must be willing to routinely travel to manufacturing locations
( could be upwards of 30-50% of time estimated).
The ideal candidate will bring with them:
• In depth knowledge of core ingredient manufacturing processes and reaction
kinetics associated with each.
• Strong understanding of patent searches and methods of obtaining relevant
information regarding processes.
• Sound working knowledge of Quality Control process and SQC programs
• Working knowledge of food and/or ingredient manufacturing with credible
number of industry contacts
• Experience with multiple plant production of single formula.
• An ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with
employees on a multi-plant level.
• Excellent organizational, communication and managerial skills.
• Able to react quickly and professionally to changes in work direction….In other words, an ability to think on one's
feet.
• Innovative approach to process development and problem solving.
