A TASMANIAN cheese maker is withdrawing all of its soft cheeses from the market after a listeria contamination, state health authorities say.

The Tasmanian Dairy Industry Authority has meanwhile suspended the Bruny Island Cheese Company's production licence.

Public health director Chrissie Pickin said the Bruny Island Cheese Company had confirmed listeria contamination in two separate batches of soft cheeses yesterday.
