Job Description

Base salary to $68K + bonus + relocation!

BACKGROUND:

  • Four-year degree is required.
  • Must have 4+ years experience Quality / Food Safety in FOOD & BEVERAGE manufacturing.
  • Must have good experience with Quality systems - HACCP, etc. Need experience with SOP's. Prefer experience with SQF.
  • A plus if candidate has knowledge of SQF, and a huge plus if they have achieved SQF certification.
  • Accomplishments MUST be on the resume - if not, you won't be contacted - the company wants to hire people who can show success.
  • Must be bright, good communicator, empowers employees, good leadership skills.
  • Candidate must fit into the company's culture - team-oriented, employee involvement.

POSITION:
This position reports to the Quality Manager, with a focus on the regulatory and systems side. This position has no direct reports.

  • Development and execution of customer quality programs and systems.
  • Lead plant in obtaining SQF Certification.
  • Manages and maintains HACCP and prerequisite programs including documentation review.
  • Updates/writes SOPs for the company in regards to quality or safety of products.
  • Develops forms/documentation to support above SOPs.
  • Document control & record.
  • Employee Food Safety & Quality Training.
  • Manages and maintains Allergen Control Program.
  • Environmental Monitoring Program – development, implementation and corrective actions.
  • Self-assessments and self-audits of Quality Systems, documentation & records related to the quality or safety of the products. Publishes reports and tracks corrective action.
  • Food Defense/Security.
  • Facilitates 3rd party, regulatory and customer audits.
  • Works with QA Manager to develop corrective actions for customer and third party audits.
  • Publishes the monthly inspections for both facilities and ensures corrective actions.
