home. JOB PURPOSE This position is responsible for the management of all food
safety and quality assurance policies / programs, USDA compliance and product
quality initiatives for a pork processing facility harvesting over 22,000
animals per day. These programs will be managed using strategic initiatives
and execution excellence to provide compliance with all quality
specifications, USDA/FDA regulations and International Regulatory laws having
jurisdiction over Seaboard Foods facilities The
manager assists with the development and implementation strategies and
programs to achieve exemplary food safety, quality standards and customer
satisfaction. The position has direct management responsibilities over the
Food Safety, Quality Assurance programs, sanitation monitoring and laboratory
programs. . RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The
employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift
up to 100 pounds and sometimes push/and or move up to 300 pounds. Specific
vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly exposed to hot, cold and/or humid conditions. The employee
frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally
exposed to fumes or airborne particles,and
is frequently exposed to animal waste and animal dust. The noise level in the
work environment is usually loud requiring hearing protection in all
protection areas. |
