Bureau Veritas Certification North America (BVCNA) is looking to add individuals to their team who can conduct FAMI-QS certification audits within animal feed and trader sectors. The focus will be for these audits to be done to FAMI-QS standard; however other audits to GFSI (SQF, BRCGS, and FSSC 22000), certification (ISO 22000, etc.) or unaccredited audit programs may present themselves.


Job Duties

  • Conduct audits according to FAMI-QS and Bureau Veritas Certification North America Standards
  • Maintain confidentiality about all aspects of work and adhere to all procedures established by clients and BVCNA
  • Assure rigorous and thorough evaluations are conducted at facilities and detailed audit reports are provided in a timely manner to allow for certification decisions to be made
  • Follow and adhere with all required protocols and procedures
  • Maintain good time management as it pertains to scheduling and communication with representatives from client sites and BVCNA
  • Ensure that up to date and accurate scheduling information is provided to BVCNA on a regular basis
  • Ensure that all qualifications are maintained as required by FAMI-QS and BVCNA; as well as provide BVCNA with any requested documentation that pertains to qualifications in a timely manner
  • Be professional, respectful, and conscientious in all communications with BVCNA representatives and clients

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education (e.g. biology, chemistry, food engineering, pharmacy, agricultural engineering, nutritionist, zootechnology).
  • Knowledge in food/feed microbiology, food safety, chemistry, animal nutrition, animal production, animal health, Feed GMP, Feed and Food HACCP.
  • Four (4) years’ work experience in management systems with at least 2 being associated with food/feed safety management systems.
  • Formal HACCP training
  • Preventive controls for Human and/or animal food training
  • Knowledge in hazard assessment, hazard analysis, food/feed safety management principles including PRPs, FAMI-QS Code.
  • At least six (6) feed/food SMS Audits in the last 3 years.
  • At least one (1) Feed Audit in the scope relevant (bioprocess, chemical, extraction, formulation, mining, and/or mixing).
