Summary of Job Duties:

The successful candidate will serve as the laboratory organizational manager, assist graduate students with research projects, perform literature reviews, conduct experiments to support new and ongoing projects, collect and analyze data, edit documents, and write reports and journal articles.
As a laboratory organizational manager, the successful candidate will maintain a clean and organized laboratory, assure laboratory compliance with safety requirements, maintain laboratory stocks and consumables, place orders, and keep an updated laboratory inventory.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications : This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in food science, microbiology, agricultural engineering, food engineering, or related scientific discipline. General microbiological and chemistry laboratory skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications : Master of Science Degree in Food Science or related area. Experience in fermentation and the use of analytical equipment, specifically HPLC. Practical experience with bioreactors is a plus.
