The Engineering and Quality manager will be responsible for the direction of all Quality Assurance programs, including but not limited to the development and application of quality standards and specifications for vendors, in-work-process and finished goods materials.

AS THE ENGINEERING AND QUALITY MANAGER YOU WILL:

• Engage and maintain world class quality and safety culture within the network.
• Provide facility standards for measurement and physical testing of routine and special materials for all network facilities.
• Through subordinate supervision, manage the activities of the NDT Technician and Maintenance Coordinator.
• Maintain responsibility for mediation of final acceptability of product manufactured between Manufacturing and Engineering departments.
• Maintain responsibility for NDT testing and records programs, SR/Waranty claims, internal Quality Audits and ISO 9000 compliance.
• Function as a resource to operations departments to implement methods and cost reduction changes.
• Communicate and Coordinate with GSC and Product Engineering teams to identify vendor and manufacturing issues.
• Provide significant input to product liability and warranty.
• Act as an engineering resource for part structure, conversions, and material substitutions.
• Develop workable implementation plans to correct problems and inefficiencies in the plant quality program focusing on results through action.
• Record, document, and report pertinent KPI for the network.
• Support manufacturing for design related issues pertaining to machining or assembly performance.
• Review specification deviations required by manufacturing to aid in inventory reduction and control, and to facilitate manufacturing processes.
• Support continuous improvement through pursuing opportunities to increase the operation efficiency of each KOB.
• Seek out cost reductions through design changes or standardization of materials and parts.
• Coordinate and own assembly, machining, and quality training programs for the network.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Associates Degree in business, engineering or manufacturing related field.
• 5+ years' experience in Valve Manufacturing, Design/Applications Engineering, or Quality.
• Experience with ISO 9000 requirements.
• Fluency with MS Office Suite, Flowscanner and Valvelink programs.
• Drafting and bill of material construction experience at Fisher or related industry.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Robust interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of all Fisher products, with an intimate knowledge of specific product lines.
• Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with internal and external contacts.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Capable of inspiring respect and trust while educating others on quality standards.
• Knowledge of welding procedures for TIG, MIG, SMAW for steel pressure components to ASME Section 9 preferred.
• Knowledge of heat-treating processes for post weld heat treatment and material heat treating.
