IFF is growing and we are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Quality & Food Safety team.

NATURE OF WORK

Responsible for the coordination, management, and execution of day-to-day Quality & Food Safety related activities to support the business, internal stakeholders and our customers. Individual participates in cross-functional teams to solve quality related concerns and ensure that the requirements and expectations of the business and of our customers are met in compliance to relevant quality and food safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure adherence to all quality management systems and accreditations with an understanding of Quality and Environmental policies and procedures; including, but not limited to, ISO FSSC 22000, GFSI, cGMP, ICH Q7
  • Management of technical commercialization, including risk assessment and approval processes for raw materials, intermediates, finished materials, packaging materials and labelling information under consideration of regulatory, production related, and customer specific requirements
  • Provide technical and quality associated support to customers for product related requests
  • Create and maintain product documentation intended for distribution to customers (i.e., Product Descriptions, Certificates of Analysis, Safety Data Sheets, and Statements)
  • Complete and implement customer requests related to the products and manufacturing environment in a timely manner (i.e. product questionnaires, specifications, plant quality information, special requirements)
  • Manage product quality and food safety related complaints; including coordination of investigation, determination of root cause and corrective actions, and provide final conclusion to customers
  • Manage Contract Manufacturer relationship and dedication to quality standards and requirements for manufacturing
  • Manage product master data within SAP and participate in the SAP information flow process for new products and product changes
  • Facilitate activities with regards to export related requirements and product registrations
  • Manage activities with regards to Kosher and Halal related requests and certificates
  • Support other company workflows (i.e., product return, derogation processes regarding early release, and quality deviation)
  • Interact and support appropriate key stakeholders, including but not limited to: Product Management, Operations, QC, QA, Sales, Customer Service/Care, and Regulatory

Job Requirements


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, biology, or a related field, is required
  • A minimum 2 years of experience with Master’s Degree or 4 years of experience with Bachelor’s Degree in the food ingredient, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical industry, Quality Assurance or Quality Control in a manufacturing environment, or other relevant work is required
  • Ability to operate both independently and in a team environment
  • Must have the ability to problem solve using analytical skills
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP and ability to utilize various computer based data management systems is desired

This position operates in a flexible work from home and office environment



Travel may be necessary function of position



SCOPE OF POSITION



This position reports directly to the Quality & Food Safety Manager and has no direct supervisory responsibility.
