are looking for an experienced Safety Specialist who is searching to do what
they'll love - support an effective store safety program and promote safety
awareness! Do you have experience in implementing and conducting training
programs on safety policies? Do you love food? If so, read on! We may have

Trader Joe's is unlike any place you've ever worked. Trust us on that. The
qualified professional has at least 3 years of crew member experience in
Trader Joe's stores and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. A
Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. This role is based in our office in
Monrovia, California.
The Safety Specialist is responsible for:
- Implementing
and conducting training programs on safety policies and procedures and
provide safety awareness training for crew members to minimize risk and
losses
- Prepare and
review regional injury Summary Report to screen suspicious claims or
severe injuries
- Review
accident investigations and provide feedback as necessary
- Responsible
for compilation of monthly and quarterly accident reports and claim
statistics to determine trends, identify issues and evaluate effectiveness
of current safety program
- Review and
track store monthly safety meeting minutes to insure compliance
The qualified applicant has:
- Minimum 3 plus
years crew member experience in Trader Joe's stores and knowledge of
company
- Excellent
computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent
analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to
prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, service oriented environment
- Strong
collaboration skills to work with all levels of the company
