Description SUMMARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned. Responsible for and participates in FSMA HACCP plan.
Including:
Provide annual food safety, process monitoring training
for QA and production staff. Collect, log and review current and future HACCP and
manufacturing process data, including but not limited to
Verify daily audit reports from various QA process
auditing functions, including Kitchen and Packaging. Work with the QA Manager in investigating consumer and
customer complaints. Work with QA manager to develop and support product safety
and quality related training including but not limited to GMP and Glass
Policies. On a defined schedule, coordinate lab equipment
calibration and maintenance. Coordinate shift change. Coordinate the QA auditing staff schedule. As needed, update and create production/QA process
parameters. Participate in internal and external audits, including but
not limited to SQF, 21 CFR 111, Organic, etc. Assist in developing/updating/maintaining SQF
documentation; assist in reviewing and revising the SQF/21 CFR 111
/HACCP/Food Safety supporting programs annually. PCQI, HACCP, and SQF experience preferred, with previous
experience in a food manufacturing facility. Assist with verification and validation activities. Ensure SQF and other internal policies are being respected
and followed by manufacturing employees. Assist in training of employees and managers who have a
role in the SQF and nutraceutical programs to ensure their understanding of
the food safety and quality requirements. Supervise lab equipment calibration and maintenance as
needed. Supervise metal detector and check weight third-party
performance verifications. Meet weekly with the QA Manager to track and set team
priorities, and address issues and problems. Assist in department meetings. Support and participate in SQF, HACCP, 21 CFR 111, GMP and
food safety supporting programs. Inherent in each position is a general duty to maintain
each respective work area in a safe and sanitary condition. Regular,
predictable, full-time attendance is required as an essential function of
this position. The employee may be required to perform other such duties
within the scope of their employment as may be assigned. The employee must
also possess the ability to take direction, follow instructions, work with

descend stairs or climb on high platforms of up to 15 feet high, in order to
perform essential functions and report to their respective work station. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here

occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne
particles. The employee will occasionally be exposed to high heat (140F) for

specific tasks. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions
and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or
