Job Purpose:

Key QA contact maintaining relationships with supplier QA teams at manufacturing locations in North America. Conducts annual quality system audits of all manufacturing locations, maintains all required records including food safety compliance records. Track supplier quality performance, through monitoring of supplier KPI’s, lab analysis, complaint management and audit performance, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts quality system audits annually for all assigned supplier locations
  • Ensures consistent quality, wholesomeness and safe food from all assigned suppliers
  • Monitors performance for all suppliers of assigned products by conducting Quality audits, following up on food safety and quality audit, follow up on critical issues and complaints
  • Collaboration with Commercialization manager on crisis situations within assigned categories
  • Conduct, document and interpret QA testing for assigned products and report compliance and corrective actions
  • Support all PJ animal welfare and sustainability initiatives
  • Ensures specifications and supporting documentation are complete, accurate, and up to date for all assigned products
  • Proactively works with suppliers to prevent and/or resolve product related issues and bring to timely resolution
  • Works with suppliers to understand trends in the industry that may positively or negatively impact the business
  • QA Field position with occasional work at PJ KY Headquarters
  • Works with suppliers to understand trends in the industry that may positively or negatively impact the business
  • This position requires travel up to 50% and may require some international travel for extended periods of time.

Education, Experience, and Certifications

  • Degree in Food Science or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years QA experience required, preferably in QSR industry or food manufacturing
  • HACCP/PCQI Training preferred
  • Certified Quality Auditor preferred
