Description of Responsibilities and Objectives:
- Regulatory Compliance
- Lead the administration of Federal,
State, and Local laws and regulations such as OSHA, DOT, etc
- Maintain OSHA 300 Log send out reports on
a monthly basis
- Abide by and enforce all organizational
policies and procedures
- Ensure that contractor personnel working
on property follow company policies and safety requirements
- Develop, maintain, and train employees on
SOP’s for safe work practices to comply with regulatory and company
compliance
- Lead the Emergency Response Team
- Assist with maintaining the Emergency
Action Plan for all locations
- Responsible for coordinating regulatory
programs and their applications and helping support the compliance
process
- Occupational Health and Safety
- Lead new employee/contractor safety
orientation presentations
- Design, schedule & maintain all
employee occupational health and safety training files
- Utilize current Learning Management
System for viability and consistency in required training
- Develop, implement, and deliver safety
training programs for varying levels of individuals within the facility
- Provide daily guidance and direction in
OHS programs at the employee/supervisor level to ensure a common and
effective approach
- Conduct emergency response training
- Maintain continual education support
materials to be used for reference one training has been completed
- Promote safety culture through
informational sessions and initiatives
- Lead safety committee across the
organization
- Responsible for developing and managing
OHS budget
- Provide monthly reports to leadership
- Incident/Accident Investigation &
Reporting
- Coordinate injury & incident
investigations with workers compensation insurance carrier and complete
required OSHA logs
- Document incidents which occur in the
facilities to identify cause
- Determine detailed proactive measures to
prevent such instances in the future
- Report and manage corrective action plans
- Conduct risk-assessment and enforce
preventative measures
- Develop and implement a plan to correct
hazards or prevent incidents
- Audit plans to ensure effectiveness
- Documents procedures and job hazard
assessments
- Medical Interface
- Conduct and analyze drug screening and
breath alcohol testing
- To include pre-hire, post incident, and
random screenings
- Have ability to provide first-aid and
become CPR/AED certified
- Have knowledge to assess site injuries in
need of medical attention beyond first-aid
- Prepare reports as needed
- Post

- Maintain appropriate confidential
occupational health medical documents
- Work with workers' compensation insurance
company representatives and nurse case managers to ensure proper claims
management
- Facility and Job Site Inspections &
Observations
- Conduct facility-wide safety
inspections/review with appropriate documentation
- Collaborate with team members to
institute control or remedial measures for hazardous or potentially
hazardous conditions or equipment
- Coordinate job safety analysis
- Support team in order to analyze and
recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous
work methods, processes, or materials
- Inspect specified areas to ensure the
presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, or first-aid
supplies
- Provide advice, assist, and audit line
management to ensure that effective health and safety programs are
implemented and working effectively
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Design and implement workplace health and
wellness programs
- Make suggestions on personal protective
equipment (PPE)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A bachelor's degree from four-year
college or university, or two to three years related work experience
- Prior experience in Occupational Health
and Safety work preferred
- Prior experience with worker’s
compensation and claim management preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to effectively use a
computer and have intermediate proficiency in Google Drive and Gmail
- Must be reliable and dependable
- Must obtain and maintain current
certifications for CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle
sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per year
