of dedicated public servants committed to high performance, innovative
thinking and delivering excellent and efficient services for our veterans. The Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown offers 168 beds for
nursing home care. Two levels of care are offered: standard care for veterans
in need of any intermediate level of care, and memory care for veterans with
Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. The home staffs a full time
Physician and Certified Nurse Practitioner. The home opened in 2003, and is located in the scenic
countryside of Brown County, offering a tranquil setting where veterans can
feel at home. Those who wish to visit with our residents can enjoy a small
park on the grounds, which includes a pavilion, walking trail and playground.

Dietetics per Section 4759.06 of Revised Code; 18 mos. trg.
or 18 mos. exp. in state & federal guidelines & accreditation
standards regarding dietetics/nutrition for agency of employment; 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in employee training &
development. -Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for
Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience requirements,
but not for the mandated licensure. Knowledge of dietetics/nutrition; state & federal
guidelines & accreditation standards; supervisory principles/
techniques*; food preparation; budgeting*; management*; inventory control*;
employee training & development.Ability to
apply principles of nutrition to solve everyday problems; understand &
interpret publications & manuals pertinent to practical field of study;
establish friendly atmosphere as department head; communicate instructions in
oral or written form; gather & collate data. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be
required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and
to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
