Position Summary:

 

Ensure quality & food safety processes awareness and implementation throughout the Nespresso organization. In this framework the Quality Assurance Specialist will assist in projects and lead tasks that ensure the implementation of quality related processes which will concern both our customers and employees.

 

Primary Duties:

ISO 9001:2015 • Ongoing updating of Document Management System and work along other department to ensure completeness • Support Internal Auditor training and Internal Audits within the company, including Boutiques preparation and audit readyness • Support and participate on the action plan for ISO 9001:2015 and during the external audit

 

Compliance: • Perform yearly Boutique/WH/POS audits, evaluate audit findings, coach BTQ to root cause and action plan properly and close out the report within resoanable time. • Ensure any imported or local developed products are in compliance with US legislations accordingly, including Food & Bites, accessories and local developments. • Provide support on any FSVP and Prop 65 analysis and/or requests. • Liase with Marketing and NUSA Regulatory experts to review all artworks within HQ system on time and ensure products are compliant with US legislations on labeling.

 

CAPA • Ensure appropriate Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) are initiated, implemented and monitored. • Support quality related activities are implemented and followed (yearly traceability exercise, Quality & Food Safety (in Boutiques, warehouses and Point of Sale), Temperature control, Complaint Management, MRQSHE and BCP. • Support Complaints Management activies in liason with other departments. • Perform root cause analysis or GO SEE THINK DO when necessary and supporting other deparments if needed.

 

Food Safety • Ensure food compliance in Boutiques, offices & at events. Ensure food safety procedures are followed. • Train employees on food safety and increase food safety awareness through initiatives. • Perform PAS96 assessment and follow-up on open actions every 2 years. • Organize yearly water testing on the Boutique's network

 

Projects/Administrative: • Lead projects to assure quality awareness throughout the organization • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality and technical activities • Identify training needs, organize and hold trainings to meet quality standards (e.g. yearly Quality Coaches conference) • Provide timely updates on accomplishment of projects.

 

Requirements/Education:

Education: • Bachelors Degree in Food Technology/Science/Engineering required Experience: • 2+ years experience working in the field of Quality or related processes • Safety and Environment experience is a plus • ISO 22000 and HACCP a plus • ISO 9001 experience a plus • Project Management and organizational skills • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written • Knowledge of Quality Management System • Customer service orientation • Ability to assess and write Quality related processes • Ability to train people • Data collection, management and analysis • Willingness to travel within US Familiar with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 preferred. Knowledge of local, state and federal environmental regulations a plus. Knowledge/use of Windows software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), required. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to work independently but with supervision. Team Player, ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers. Travel required, 25%
