the spice, flavor, and seasonings industry, is seeking a full-time Quality
Systems Manager. This new hire will work in our Atlanta, GA plant . The Quality Systems Manager will report to a
Quality Assurance Manager. As a company recognized for its exceptional

401(k), profit sharing, paid holidays, and vacations. POSITION OVERVIEW Under the general direction of the
Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Systems Manager develops and maintains
the Quality Management System for the plant. The QSM maintains and implements
all plant level procedures that affects food safety and food quality. The QSM
also manages internal, third party, regulatory and customer audits;
maintenance and implementation of plant quality systems, policies and
procedures; customer complaint investigations and responses; and required
Quality related training for all employees in the facility. In addition, the
QSM manages a direct report responsible for the execution of Quality Systems
tasks within the facility RESPONSIBILITIES Leads internal Food Safety Team and
maintains all aspects of Food Safety program. Revises and distributes procedural
changes to the Quality programs. Conducts internal and mock audits and
facilitates 3rd party, customer, regulatory, and vendor audits; develops and
manages root cause and corrective action program for audit findings. Leads the plant in determining the
annual Quality Program training needs and assists in the scheduling and
implementation of these programs plant wide. Provides customer required
documentation including, but not limited to, monthly / quarterly reports,
Certificates of Analysis, and customer complaint/inquiry responses. Primary trainer for GMP, Food Safety,
and allergens in the plant Maintains and updates plant recall
program; schedules and conducts traceability exercises. Oversees the plant sanitation and GMP
compliance through managing the pest control and environmental control
programs and auditing the sanitation procedures. Administers foreign material control
program. Administers allergen control program
through program management and training. Provides Quality leadership to the
facility in the absence of the Quality Manager. Collaborates with facility
engineering team to ensure that all projects are assessed through the change
management process. Provides leadership with cause,
effect and corrective actions required to resolve deviations from customer
standards. Interacts with McCormick corporate
and customers at any and all levels required, to establish and maintain
effective business relationships Assists in managing non-conforming
goods through the Quality Notification Process by supporting the segregation,
tagging, sampling, disposition, and communication of held raw materials, work
in process, and finished goods with Quality and Food Safety concerns. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s in Food Science,
Chemistry, Engineering, or a relevant technical field SQF Practitioner Certification Experience leading teams and/or
managing direct reports Knowledge and experience working with
Food Safety Programs and related required documentation Experience with GFS Experience reading and interpreting
technical documents such as specifications, procedure manuals, and technical
data sheets Excellent verbal and written
communication skills necessary to effectively interact with all levels within
the facility and organization as well as with external auditors, suppliers,
and customers Experience working well with all
levels of employees, as well as internal and external customers in both
individual and team-based situations Minimum 4 years of Quality experience
in a food, beverage, flavor, ingredient and/or pet food manufacturing Ability to communicate clearly and
effectively with others both verbally and in writing Diplomacy Other Skills and Competencies: Values all people Influence Strategic thinking Effective decision making PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Certifications and/or Licenses: HACCP As a general policy, McCormick does
