Job Description



SUMMARY

The Facility Sanitation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the practices and policies impacting both facility and product sanitation, for coordinating the division’s Continuous Improvement Plan for Sanitation and Food Safety, for oversight of the application, use, and regulatory compliance of any regulated pesticides, herbicides, and/or fumigants for the administration of all pest control programs, leading and oversight management of the site’s third-party pest control contractor program, for recommending changes to housekeeping policies and procedures division wide, administration and response to sanitation audits, and responsibility for the appearance and upkeep of SSD grounds in coordination with department managers and personnel. Facility Sanitation Coordinator has responsibilities as a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual, site SQF Practitioner, with duties of verification and validation of a number of SQF programs, including direct oversight of the internal, leading recertification audits, pest management, and waste disposal programs. Practitioner has duties assisting with oversight of Food Defense and Food Defense/Site Security Programs management in conjunction with Facility Safety Manager including but not limited to verification and validation activities, training, and orientation introduction. As Special Projects Officer, hiree is responsible for coordinating various projects that may occur throughout day-to-day operations that require thorough communication with various levels of management, multiple RFI databases and program understanding and use, lead researcher and analyst with different vendors, contractors, and experts associated with given projects, and overseeing the implementation and completion of said projects.



Job Duties


Essential Duties /Responsibilities


1. To lead initiatives related to GMP, SQF, Food Defense, and associated training needed for regulatory compliance throughout the division


2. To represent Stuttgart Soy Division to Corporate QA/Product Compliance/Customers/Regulatory Compliance Officers


3. Maintain organization of all related documentation associated with Sanitation, GMP’s SQF, training validation and verification activities, schedules, audits, etc.….


4. To assist managers in developing and implementing effective sanitation procedures


5. To represent Riceland Foods to the employees


6. To enforce rules concerning pesticides, pest control, waste disposal, and sanitation


7. Lead and coordinate with SSD personnel as needed when implementing and/or conducting Special projects handed down from direct supervisor.


8. Work with and in understanding of various RFI databases and programs as needed to accomplish goals of special project and other job-related projects


9. Be able to learn and acquire the required SQF/PCQI/HAACP/GMP/Auditor Certifications


10. Promptly communicate special project updates to appropriate management and comply with given deadlines in special project implementation


11. Work with Maintenance and the GM Crew to assist in maintaining non-designated grounds

12. All other Buildings & Grounds responsibilities not expressly designated to someone else


13. To reply to sanitation audits from outside agencies


14. To maintain all other documentation as required


15. To teach and accommodate information during orientation for sanitation and SQF responsibilities

Relationships

1. To keep Stuttgart Soy Division management informed of problems and significant events


2. To keep department personnel informed on the status of pesticide applications, license, renewals, fogging, and fumigations


3. To preform all other duties, as assigned


Education & Experience, Qualification


A. High School diploma


B. College degree (4 years) in related fields (preferred)


C. Experience required:


More than 1 year of similar, or work-related experience



D. Experience desired:


1. Previous experience as food plant sanitarian


2. Previous experience as an SQF Practitioner


3. Previous experience with SQFI and GFSI implementation or maintenance


4. More than 1 year of supervisory experience



E. Related acceptable experience:


1. One year of job familiarization
