Your Role With Us:

The Corporate Integrity Auditor is responsible for using data analytics as part of the standard internal audit role to review and identify the risks to the organization. The Corporate Integrity Auditor in collaboration with the manager will develop and execute audit plans utilizing data analytics to perform analysis of internal controls and processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics policies and Code of Conduct. The Corporate Integrity Auditor will apply professional auditing standards, methods, and procedures. This position will conduct internal reviews and audits that involve regulatory components related to possible information blocking activities, HIPAA privacy breaches, fraud and abuse, improper business activities, billing irregularities, physician/payer contracts, and health care compliance.

Background/Expertise:

  • Bachelor Degree - Preferably in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Information Services, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Public Policy, or related field.
  • Required 2 to 5+ years’ experience performing audits in a healthcare environment.
  • Required 3 years progressive internal audit, or compliance/privacy experience replace with Health Information Management, or Revenue Cycle Services experience in a healthcare setting; preferably a hospital system.
  • Strongly prefer minimum two (2) years’ experience within statistical and analytical skills through data collecting, organizing, and analyzing.
  • Healthcare Compliance OR Healthcare Internal Audit Profession - Grace Period: 12 Months.
  • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to research, analyze health care laws and state and/or federal billing regulations.
