Job Overview:

Opportunity to join General Mills’ Snacks Innovation team. This position will focus on delivering innovative products for new categories in the natural and organic space.

 

Responsiblities:

·        Bench-top and pilot plant formulation and development

·        Translating consumer need into product ideas

·        Scaling of product with external manufacturers

·        Operation of various small equipment

·        Analytical submissions, storage tests, etc

·        Procurement and management of ingredients, including contacting suppliers and sourcing

·        Organization of laboratory, equipment, and products

·        Coordination of experiments and trials with internal and external partners

·        Preparation of product for consumer testing, internal and external meetings, etc

Minimum Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s Degree; Food Science degree preferred

·        2+ yrs experience in product development

·        Strong collaboration with cross-functional team members

·        Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

·        Ability to apply consumer insights to remarkable new product design

·        Strong organizational and leadership skills

·        Strong networking skills

·        Capable of designing experiments and analyzing data

·        Able to perform basic analytical tests such as viscosity, pH, moisture, Aw

·        Proficient computer skills desirable – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc….

·        Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
