Formulates nutrient systems consisting of vitamins,
minerals, amino acids and nutraceutical ingredients for various
food/pharmaceutical applications, and to provide technical support to
R&D, sales/marketing and customers
- Work with customers to get
nutrient information to design customized nutrient system for finished
product manufactured by the end user of nutrient premixes.
- Communicating premix
formulation to sales department to generate costing of finished
- Utilize nutrient stability
information to design a premix for products exported to various parts
of the world.
- Communicate suitable
information both internally and externally.
- Prepare LOP/GMP/SOP where
- Upon completion of in-house
training, visit customers along with sales and/or other members of
- Conducting performance
studies with new ingredient in application of nutrient system.
- Analyzing results reported by
customer and making use of data to make necessary adjustment to
improve nutrient system.
- Work with ISO 9001 auditors
and including interdepartmental personnel
- Provide technical support to
customers on regular basis.
- Work with novel ingredient
applications e.g., Functional food ingredients, amino acids,
nucleotides and other nutraceutical ingredients needed by the
Works to SHE standards and encourages fellow
colleagues to work to the same standards
Background & Experience
- Must have minimum of B.S.
degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry or
- 0 to 3 years’ experience in
food formulation, processing and quality control related issues.
- Use of food microbiology,
food processing, food analysis, food engineering including but not
limited to cereal, milk and other process foods is essential.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, Excel/Powerpoint
is a plus.
