Provide direction and guidance on Facility Management and Food Safety
Incorporate Food Safety industry best practices into product handling
processes for receipt, storage, processing, transportation and disposal of
food to ensure the safety of Forgotten Harvest Clients
Work directly with stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable and
scalable procedures that comply with national and state regulatory
Execute internal food safety audits
Consult on external food safety audits
Continuously identify and communicate improvement opportunities
Create and deploy internal food safety training
Develop and manage Food Safety compliance processes
Create and monitor business metrics to track compliance and process
Serve as a subject matter expert for all Food Safety and Facility related
trends, regulations, and legislation.
Drive continuous improvement in the areas of Food Safety and Facility
Management by setting goals and identifying key performance indicators in
this area of the business.
Work directly with Operations management and in conjunction with all other
departments to provide guidance and assure implementation and adherence to
Set challenging, reasonable performance expectations for microbiological
performance, foreign material control, regulatory compliance, and HACCP
Develop and maintain working relationships with appropriate regulatory
agencies, working as a reputable senior liaison in regards to Food Safety
and Quality matters.
Manage the investigation and reporting of quality issues and implementation
of internal audit control processes.
Responsible for overall maintenance, preventative maintenance and repair of
building and grounds
10+ years of food industry experience.
Bachelorís Degree in Food Science or related field and experience
SQF2 certification preferred
Knowledge of current Food Safety and QA audit trends and programs.
Excellent PC skills a must.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact and communicate with clients, all levels within the
organization, and Regulatory officials.
