Quality Manager

SUMMARY :
The Quality Supervisor will be primarily responsible for supporting the plant in all actions related to Quality and Food Safety compliance. This will include all quality processes including - but not limited to - driving plant SQF Level II certification, conducting regular plant audits, GMP programs, revising and/or creating SOPs and other regulatory documentation, as well as performing quality training with all levels of associates on food quality and food safety (SQF) requirements. The individual in this role will also act as backup to the plant Quality Manager as needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct regular plant readiness audits (both programs and infrastructure).
  • Conduct regular “Audit Gap Meetings” with plant leadership.
  • Create or modify plant programs, SOPs, forms, and other documentation as required to meet the SQF requirements.
  • Perform team member training on SQF requirements.
  • Solve practical problems and comfortably deal in high pressure situations.
  • Possess the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral forms.
  • Complete routine clerical work such as filing, checking and entering required information into the computer system.
  • Follow plant and laboratory GMPs to maintain a clean work area.
  • Perform team member training to ensure GMPs are followed in the plant.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Remain current on matters relating to production methods, analytical techniques and federal regulations as they relate to the Company’s products. Make recommendations for improvement as necessary.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as needed.

  • HAACP, Quality Technician, Lab, Food: 4 years
