salads, entrees, potato dishes, Mexican foods, dips, desserts and more!
We
are currently accepting applications / resumes for a Food Technologist to
join our Research and Development department as part of the Business
Development Group. This position will be responsible for working closely with
our Sales team and customers to develop a wide variety of products.
Essential
Functions include:
Works closely with key customers to develop private label products.
Develops and formulates new products and production processes. Collects
and documents records on formulas, specifications, processes and packaging.
Coordinates and conducts test batches to develop new formulas, processes
and specifications in all production facilities. Improves food products
by enhancing composition, flavor and nutrition. Presents recommendations
and solutions to Sales and Customer Service personnel. Provides technical
and culinary support for Sales team. Involved in every stage of product
cycle from Ideation and Development to First Production and Launch. Travel
up to 50% of the time.
Successful
candidates will have:
5 years product or menu development experience is required. Bachelors
Degree in Food Science or Culinary Arts is preferred. Requires experience
using scientific methods within the food industry. Requires knowledge of
food and safety regulations. Strong PC skills are required. Excellent
oral and written communication skills with great presentation and
interpersonal skills. Creativity while being well-organized, detail
oriented and analytical. Experience in and be comfortable with a
fast-paced environment of changing priorities, multiple projects and short
deadlines. Ability to be a successful team-player and work independently.
Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Enthusiasm and a sense of fun with
a passion for food!
