position is responsible for the product development for Pizza Hut food
ingredients and processes, from ingredient development and product
specifications, through production systems, Margin Improvement Initiatives,
World Class Operations Initiatives and Restaurant performance. The person
holding this position will have the underlying science and technology
knowledge to lead product development and commercialization of all
ingredients within the Core & New product Portfolio for Pizza Hut.
Under minimal to moderate direction this position will ??
1. Develop new products
meeting Pizza Hut & Wing Street?s
marketing goals & consumer parameters.
2. Upgrade existing Core
products to meet consumer & business needs.
3. Meet product
development timelines as established for each project.
4. Prioritize tasks in
order to support multiple project timelines and stage gates effectively.
5. Leverage Industry professionals ? suppliers, 3rd
party consultants, governmental regulatory agencies, and Yum! partners to Build Know that will achieve project goals.
6. Manage Supplier
relationships to ensure project goals and timelines are communicated and
met at all times.
7. Conduct product
development activities in a planned and effective manner including solid
Design of Experiment testing and thorough, robust execution of experiments.
8. Maintain organized and
concise records of all product development activities.
9. Support transition of
products from culinary through product development phase to
commercialization of ingredients and successful rollout to restaurants.
10. Develop specifications
for new products and ingredients ensuring accuracy and compliance with process
11. As part of a Cross
Functional team, leverage knowledge and strengths to identify opportunities
to cost reduce products and improve effectiveness of processes.
12. Interface effectively
with other supporting personnel/groups (Nutrition, QA, Engineering,
Operations, Marketing, Consumer Insights, etc.) to move projects forward
and to work through identified issues.
