Food Safety Quality
Assurance Manager- The responsibilities include work directly in conjunction
with senior production management staff/ addressing food safety. Description
The
responsibilities include work directly in conjunction with senior production
management staff / addressing food safety concerns. The inspector will also
maintain all records / documents pertaining to the establishment's Hazard
Analysis and Critical Control Point Plan, Standard Sanitation and
Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices. The inspector
will monitor and verify that the programs noted above are being performed and
documented correctly during day-to-day operations. He/she will also act
as the compliance officer for the establishment working in direct relation
with the USDA Inspector regarding compliance, food safety and /or structural
concerns. Additionally
this position will conduct pre-operation inspections, check and maintain the calibration
of instruments on all processing equipment and assist in the development
of product specifications. Qualifications
Education/Training: High school
diploma is required. A college degree in food science or safety is
preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have good oral
and written communication skills; able to read and understand English; basic
mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); HACCP certified
preferred; computer literate in MS Word & Excel; must be team oriented and
able to get along with others. Must be able to stand on the job and
work in a cold/wet environment. 1+ years of
experience in the following:
