The position is within the Meals Category Core Product Development group. This position will provide a great opportunity to learns the Meals business and develop deep technical skills in the Liquid Cheese sauce area of Mac & Cheese. This candidate will have potential to work on projects for cost improvement, flanker development, and brand maintenance. They will also help define longer term strategies and pipelines for designated product categories.


·         Develop experimental plans for development of formula & process design. Interpret & report results, and recommend next steps.

·         Conduct pilot plant and plant trials

·         Lead qualification plans and implementation (via consumer testing, commercialization management, spec development, etc.)

·         Develops strong relationships both within the RDQ community as well as cross functionally or externally as appropriate. Works closely with key development partners in regulatory, consumer science, sensory, plants, etc., to collaborate and ensure timely, high quality execution. Works closely with the business team to provide technical perspective on new products and PI commercialization.

·         Develops a deep understanding of the manufacturing processes and ingredient functionality.

·         Travel 20%


·         The qualified candidate should hold a BS or MS in, Food Science, Chemical Engineering or related engineering field and ideally 3+ years of product development or processing experience.

·         Experience in "cheese or dairy" a plus.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Good understanding and technical curiosity for product / process development and problem solving.

·         Strong project execution and drive for results skills are critical.

·         Skilled in developing experimental plans and interpreting results. Ability to create a strategic plan and pathways to deliver.

·         Experience with developing and commercializing product from concept through start-up.

·         Work effectively with people from varying functions and levels.
