Seventy-three people, including 50 children, fell ill with suspected food poisoning
in Khon Kaen's Channabot district yesterday while eating at a National
Children Day's celebration.
They were tucking into a feast including fried noodles
and spicy papaya salad in front of the district office catered by government
and private organisations when some developed diarrhoea and vomiting. At time of press 50 people
remained hospitalised.
