Our client has over 25 years of experience in the fields of public and environmental health, acting as a first line of risk/crisis management.

This position is great for those individuals with an independent work ethic. You will spend most of your workday visiting various retail and commercial food service operations. Your job duties will include primary inspection responsibilities in New York City area. The ability to work independently and within a vast array of foodservice environments is a must. Job duties will include HACCP based inspections of corporate retail food establishments and commercial food processing plants.

Requirements: 

Candidates must have a Masterís degree in public health, however a bachelorís degree in a science-related field and a thorough knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles would be considered.

National REHS credential and/or state sanitarian REHS/RS/Health Officer licensure is required.

At least 5 years of retail or commercial foodservice inspection experience required.

Excellent computer skills with MS Excel, Power Point and Word.

Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in writing and orally. Ability to travel is required.

Must be a U.S. citizen.
