Control/Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance Job Description Scope The
position is to add assurance that all 1Lance facilities are in compliance to
federal, state, and local regulatory rules and regulations. In
addition, this position will monitor and report 1Lance corporate policies in
food safety that may exceed federal, state and local regulations. The
position will audit all Lance sites to insure compliance of the established
programs that we have in place and to insure compliance to SQF policies as
well as contract and private brand customer programs. Also, this
position will administer the supplier visitation program. ·
Audit and grade compliance of facility sites on Good Manufacturing
Practices, Food Safety Policies and programs, HACCP, Allergen Control,
Food Defense and the Bioterrorism Act. ·
Audit each site for compliance to 1Lance Supplier program to ensure that all
ingredients and packaging materials meet Lance specifications and that all
materials come from only authorized suppliers. ·
Be the administrator of the supplier visitation program and participate in
the auditing process. ·
Audit all purchased product vendors to assure compliance to 1Lance
expectations for Quality and Food Safety. ·
Educate and train at all levels of the organization to promote food safety
awareness. ·
Participate in outside(3rd Party) audits and assure that each site
is properly prepared for audits. Reviews and helps develop audit
responses and insures that corrective actions are in place and effective. ·
Develops and validates food safety initiatives that minimize risk(i.e.
Thermal Processing, X-ray, water activity, etc.) ·
Participates in the sourcing and design of equipment and processes to
minimize food safety risk. ·
Reviews foreign matter and illness complaints and take steps to validate
authenticity. Aids in identifying cause and corrective actions. Food
Science or other science degree preferred with 3 to 5 years of experience in
plant sanitation, pest control, and food safety. Licensed or certified
Pest Control Operator is preferable. If not degreed, at least 10 years
experience in sanitation, pest control and food safety. Travel
estimated at 50%. |
