You get to:
• Coach the day to day operations of the Food Safety / Quality Resource laboratory.
• Ensure that the daily HACCP and quality documentation is accurate and complete
• Train Members in Food Safety and Quality programs.
• Conduct Food Safety / Quality inspections and audits for adherence to established standards.
• Identify, define and solve issues.
• Responsible for daily SSOP and GMP monitoring and reporting.
• Represent Food Safety / Quality on plant and company-wide cross functional teams.
• Develop, teach and implement statistical trending applications.
• Work with the sanitation team to ensure compliance to established company standards.
• Develop your skills by backing up the Food Safety / Quality Coordinator.
• Interact with USDA-FSIS inspectors on a routine basis.
• Stretch and grow your current skill sets to the next level and beyond.
• Be challenged to learn and grow on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
What You Bring To The Job:
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in the food industry.
• Desire to become a future leader (potential replacement for Food Safety / Quality Coordinator position or other positions within the company).
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP’s and SSOP’s.
• Experience working under a regulatory system, USDA preferred.
• HACCP trained or certification.
• Understanding of quality and sanitation systems with ability to execute against them.
• Working understanding of statistical quality tools.
• Detail oriented, responsible, self- motivated individual.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member without direct supervision.
• Strong problem solver.
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
• The ability to work weekends or second or third shifts.
• Willingness to relocate to other facilities within the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

Member Status: Full Time / Salaried.
Hours: Full-Time: Flexibility required to support any of two production shifts and a third shift sanitation cycle.
