Aerotek's preferred client, located in SE Wisconsin, is a leading manufacturer of purified spices, seasonings and value-added products for the food industry. Due to unprecedented growth, the company is presently seeking to add an accomplished Food Technologies to their SE Wisconsin manufacturing facility. This position will work exclusively with the company's consumer product companies. The Food Technologist will be responsible for working with the product development team in developing new, cost-effective product solutions for the company's consumer product customers. Day-to-day tasks will include: a. Completing matching projects through technical research and analysis b. Develop/Create/Modify product formulas based on sample requests c. Cost Reduction of seasoning formulations to meet customer requirements d. Provide lateral support for QA with respect to assuring sample acceptance This position will not have any direct reports, but will be responsible for managing projects from inception to delivery. Customer interaction will be required and visits to customer sites may be required. The ideal candidate will have a 4-Year Food Science degree and 1 to 2 years of product development experience that support consumer product manufacturers. Candidates must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public. This is a direct-hire position that will pay $35-40K, based on experience and education. We are looking to have this position start on February 2nd, 2009.
