Description

Godshall's Quality Meats, Inc., a rapidly growing meat and turkey processing and distribution company is seeking an experienced Sr. QA / Food Safety Specialist.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring of adherence to USDA regulations such as Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP's)
  • Conduct Quality Control inspections on a routine basis, ensuring product safety and quality.
  • Monitor and verify HACCP points, product quality and line efficiency.
  • Prepare and Assist with internal, external and third party audits to maintain highest standard of Food Safety, Food Quality, and Food Security.
  • Ensure production personnel are following company sanitation and hygiene procedures, GMP's and food safety practices.
  • Complete Quality Control Documents, work with management team as well as production line employees to resolve issues that may arise to ensure product quality.
  • Follow lab testing, perform record keeping, perform data analysis and implement corrective action program as needed.
  • Specification checks, process control and customer complaint evaluations.
  • Product dispositions, process development and quality troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Food or Meat industry a plus.
  • Ability to interpret and execute documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of Food Industry Regulatory requirements.
  • Experience assisting with plant audits.
  • Knowledge and experience with GMP, HACCP, sanitation and pest control programs.
  • Problem solving skills and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
