Description
Position
Summary: The
Sanitation Coordinator coordinates the activities of the hourly staff members
within the Sanitation department, overseeing training, and assisting the
Sanitation Manager with administrative duties.
Key
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Communicate with the lead of
all shifts regarding scheduled activities and follow up to ensure
Sanitation activities are completed
- Communicate with all employees
pertinent information on department and company performance
- Verify staff attendance against
document and track attendance related issues
- Communicate with the leads and
supervisors in production regarding schedules and changeovers to ensure
the required equipment is clean and available to production for example
pans, racks, trays, pumps and depositors
- Monitor cleaning of the RTEF
room and ensure compliance to procedures at all times.
- Ensure that the pan washing
machine is running continuously all day long
- Ensure that the cage with
chemicals is always locked with a padlock
- Monitor cleanliness of the
plant and ensure housekeeping
- Onboard new hires by creating a
training schedule, monitoring their progress and working with them to
ensure that new staff members know their responsibilities and tasks in
the Sanitation department.
- Responsible for ensuring all
new hires are trained and certified in their areas of responsibility
including safety procedures.
- Coordinate the meals and breaks
of the staff members
- Flexibility with schedule is
required as we adjust days off based on company needs.
- Report any and all department
injuries according to company policy in a timely manner.
- Communicates well with
Sanitation supervisor and manager ,
- Think SAFETY first and works
proactively with the staff to avoid injuries
- Responsible for administrative
duties in the department as assigned by Sanitation management.
- Assist in audit preparation and
corrective action implementation.
- Work with the Sanitation
management team to verify and validate all training materials for accuracy
and validates staff training for understanding and compliance
Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft
applications, i.e. Excel and Word and Access.
- Bilingual English/Spanish
required.
- 1 year experience in a food
manufacturing facility preferred.
- Must have a flexible schedule
with the ability to work any shift including holidays and weekends.
