requirements using ESHA Genesis nutrition software program
Nutrition/Regulatory Specialist-Quality Assurance
Contract Position - 4 month duration
(Maternity Leave)

position will provide support to clients and internal departments in
maintaining high standards of quality and food safety as well as providing
accurate nutrition and ingredient information on company food products.
Accountabilities:
• Maintain nutritional database for all food ingredients.
• Responsible for providing nutrition and ingredient information for all
items.
• Maintain and continuously update Allergen listing of all test and current
items.
• Maintain records of changes to ingredients, processes, formula changes.
• Initiate Vendor Approval process with new vendors to provide company
requirements for
vendors as well as to obtain product/ingredient
information, allergen program information,
third-party food safety
audit reports.
• Assist in maintaining current specification on all food ingredients,
packaging, and raw
materials.
• Support Company Customer Service and Risk Management Departments with
supplier and
product information.
• Support all Food Safety and Food Quality initiatives within the Quality
Assurance Department.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• B.S Degree in Food Science, Nutrition or related field.
• Experienced in calculation of nutrition information in compliance with
regulatory
requirements using ESHA Genesis nutrition
software program
• Three to five years food industry quality assurance experience
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for food labeling
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel software programs
