Quality Assurance Food Technology
Intern
Position Objective:
To provide analytical and technical support to
operations and ensure conformance to customer requirements for
quality and food safety.
Principle Accountabilities:
·
Review and audit quality and
operations procedures
·
Document Control for quality and
operations procedures
·
Investigation on quality
issues. Data analysis, trend identification, troubleshooting,
corrective action and communication with regard to processing data.
·
Assessment of process quality
parameters and quality assurance systems, including PM, calibration,
maintenance, procedures, food safety, training and auditing.
·
Perform miscellaneous job-related
duties as assigned (i.e., Process improvement projects, development
and modification of QA procedures and documents, and assisting with
process start-ups and projects.)
Methods, Techniques and Procedures
to Accomplish Key Areas:

Ability to organize, prioritize
and manage a large workload with multiple priorities.
·
Ability to translate and
communicate analytical data to technical and non-technical people.
·
Ability to obtain samples from the
process area and run analytical or microbiological tests.
·
Use, calibrate and repair
analytical instruments used to perform analyses.
·
Use of tools in problem solving
and decision-making.
·
Ability to relate technical
knowledge to solve testing and process problems.
·
Demonstrated ability of
leadership, communication, motivation, interpersonal effectiveness,
teamwork and successful completion of work.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
·
Currently pursuing a B.A., B.S. or
M.S. in Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology or Biochemistry OR 4
year science degree.
·
Right to work in the U.S. that is
not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored
by a third-party employer.
·
Must be willing to relocate.
