Management

|
Responsibilities
|
|
|
1) Cooperate with top management personnel in formulating
and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals
2) Develop initial and subsequent modifications of product assurance
program
3) Delineate tasks, personnel requirements and operational procedures
within the program
4) Review technical problems and procedures of departments as well as
recommend solutions to problems/changes in procedures
5) Write QA policies and procedures along with product specifications
6) Review QA standards
7) Interview personnel to evaluate effectiveness of QA Program as well as
study existing policies and procedures
8) Inspect products to determine compliance with order specifications
9) Oversee the company’s QC system for compliance with legal
requirements, along with shipping and packaging facilities for conformity
to specified standards
10) Supervise evaluation of GMPs, sanitation
procedures and plant audit procedures
11) Advise and direct strategic suppliers to keep up and stay ahead of
customer requirements
12) Obtain approval for processing plants
13) Handle customer and vendor relations
14) Establish and/or verify GMP/HAACP programs, sanitation program, micro
results and procedures
15) Coordinate and support the Sales Department on matters of supplier
approval, quality of products and food safety
16) Develop, implement and coordinate product QA, food safety and social
accountability programs
17) Prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products, ensuring
product safety
18) Train personnel on GMPs
19) Ensure that customer requirements are met and the company is not
exposed to liability related to the quality and safety of products

Requirements
|
|
|
1) Degree (4 year) in
Food Science/Agribusiness or related experience with third party audits,
USDA and FDA
2) Knowledge of regulatory policies, current trends in food
safety/quality, HACCP, GMP and SOPs
3) Ability to interact with inside/outside customers as well as good
presentation and communication skills (Spanish a plus)
