Facility Quality Supervisor manages department staff and cooperates with
production operations to verify and maintain food safety and product
quality at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effectively train/mentor QA staff on
the production floor to ensure that product produced meets all Nestle and
regulatory specifications for food safety and quality.
Acts as a technical resource for
manufacturing to ensure the best quality product is produced.
Trains production operators regarding
compliance with Federal, State and Municipal requirements and standards
Cooperates with operations and R&D
to develop quality systems and implement in the plant for sustainable
Must be able to problem solve by taking
facts and information at hand to resolve issues on the production floor.
Must be proficient and or certified in
all Federal regulatory programs that include HACCP, SSOP and Net Weight
Trains QA Associates to be proficient
in regulatory documentation and maintain all regulatory paperwork.
Maintains records of all QA associates
that report directly to the supervisor.
Conducts Floor inspections on all 3
shifts for regulatory compliance and Nestle standards.
Write Implement and Review new policies
Effectively develop associates
reporting directly to the supervisor.
Performs reviews of associates and
coaches associates on an as needed basis using the PDG tool as a guide.
Minimum BS Degree (prefer in Food
A minimum of two (2) to five (5) years’
experience in a Quality Assurance environment preferably in the food
Ability to operate basic office
Ability to think and connect related
ideas as they arise in different situations.
Must be computer literate. Proficiency
in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access and Excel are a plus.
