Our Chicago-based fresh food manuracturing company is seeking a food scientist to lead and manage a systemic and proactive approach to Food Safety and Quality Assurance. The QA/Food Safety Manager will monitor compliance with USDA, FDA and other regulatory policies as well as with customer, corporate and plant quality requirements. He/she will manage the in-house laboratory, plant sanitation, pest control, GMP, HACCP and SSOP.

REQUIREMENTS:
•MS Degree, in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology or related Science degree
•4+ years QA/Food Safety Management role preferably in a fresh-food manufacturing environment
•Food manufacturing experience required
•Demonstrated knowledge of USDA, FDA regulations
•Demonstrated experience in implementing quality tools, HACCP, GMP, SSOP
•Knowledge of AIB, sanitation and pest control principles, Fresh Food Production, MAP
•Experience in supervising, coaching, and training of others required
