Kelly
Scientific Resources has an opening for an experienced Food Technologist
to join the product development team at a food manufacturing company in
Portland, OR. This high profile position is responsible for creating and
developing high quality beverage and food products that aim to grow sales
and profitability. This individual will be instrumental in providing
technical support and knowledge relative to food and beverage development.
This hands-on position will be part of an aggressive R&D plan that
includes creation, development and project support.

The
ideal candidate for this position must have solid experience in the
following areas:

Must have a BS degree Food Science or equivalent with 3-4 years experience in a similar product development role.
·
Successful background in the product development and product enhancement
process including new product research, formulations, sourcing ingredients,
consumer testing, production, packaging, etc.
·
Full scope of project management that includes project planning, setting
and meeting timelines and strong communication with multiple business units
·
Thorough understanding of food science principles
·
Understand, share and maintain current food/beverage trends and
technologies
·
Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize a full workload
and meet aggressive deadlines
·
Strong communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
·
Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook, etc.
·
Cooking skills are a plus
