Job Description:

Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. is currently looking to hire an intern for the summer of 2011 to work in our corporate Research and Development - Quality Department.

This is a 12 week full time position working 36 hours per week during June, July, and August 2011.

Quality Intern- Food Engineering or Food Science

The intern will work primarily on Quality Continuous Improvement and the Quality Bold Steps

• Quality Continuous Improvement- The successful intern will work closely with the Quality Continuous Improvement Scientist to complete a major Quality Continuous Improvement project. The project will require the successful intern to define the problem, measure, analyze, improve and put control steps in place to ensure improvements are long lasting.
• Accurate and Sustainable Quality Documents- The Quality Intern will work with the Corporate Quality team to further develop and enhance the viability and accuracy of the Quality Operating Standards. This will require the intern to pull together cross functional Corporate and plant staff to review, revise, rewrite and obtain approval for a defined list of documents that are identified for improvement.
• Viable Product Safety and Process Control Documents- The successful Quality intern will work with members of the Corporate Quality team to validate product safety and process control documents in our manufacturing facilities.

Candidates must be current matriculated undergraduate or graduate level students majoring in food science or food engineering.
